Recently, most of VirCIO Group’s work has been web design and programming related.
- We are currently working on a website for a gun distributor. It is a very exciting project because it involved some very heavy php/mySQL coding. In order to comply with federal standards, a gun dealer cannot deliver guns directly to a consumer, but must send to a licensed firearm dealer in the customer’s area. VirCIO Group took the existing functionality of Zen Cart (an open source shopping cart) and programmed the ability for a customer to choose a licensed dealer for shipping within a certain number of miles from the customer. VirCIO Group also had to program an interface to read and write external XML flies so that the website could interact with the main product supplier. The website is almost ready to go live and we will post the link once it is ready.
- We have recently completed work on a website for Canyon State Bus Sales. This was a complete redesign of their existing website. For the most part, the site is pretty straight HTML. It does contain minimal Flash on the home page to display their staff along with customer quotes. The main interactive programming is with their used bus inventory. The used bus inventory is housed in a mySQL database and VirCIO Group built simple administrative functionality that allows Canyon State to add, edit and delete inventory items along with images.
- We were pleased to have the opportunity to work again with a client from our past on his website promoting his three rental properties – 4rentweekly.com. Though this site might look like a simple static website, we did use php and mySQL to allow for the price of units to be changed via a simple administrative interface. This means that the pricing on the website is always current. In addition to the design of the site, we also guided our client on how to effectively use PPC marketing. The website has paid for itself many times over due to the increase in unit rentals. We also worked closely with an outside firm for SEO.
- We recently received a referral from a former co-worker to complete a simple website for his brother’s company in Southern California.
- It’s not every day you get the opportunity to work with a political campaign, but VirCIO Group had the honor of creating the Tom Horne for Attorney General website. We had a great time and received a really nice letter from Tom.
